DSLR Calibrations
All makes and models
We currently offer a couple different calibrating options. We use a combination of Factory Canon and Nikon Service adjustment software and some of the best commercially licensed Focus software to verify the results of the adjustments. The combined use of both factory and commercial software provides the absolute best calibration to be sure your camera and lenses are as accurate and tack sharp as possible. We can fine tune the camera AF algorithms, metering, exposure, shutter timing, X contact timing and more.
We are a Commercially Licensed Calibration Center for Reikan Technologies and use their image testing software to verify all of our factory adjustments and provide visually easy to read results and reports..
Our Laser Auto-Collimator system and Test Projector allow for precise adjustments and inspections. IMATEST software for MTF Sharpness testing and Distortion data plus Exposure and Metering testers round out our abilities to diagnose and tune almost any camera or lens.

Manual Focus Tuning Vs Computer Focus Tuning
Focus fine tuning with a card or target is a good way to get closer to sharp but the results don't come close to computer calibrations and updated camera focus algorithms. And fine tuning the RGB ratio will not only make your autofocus faster but also more accurate by increasing the accuracy of your phase detection sensor.
Although it has risen in popularity, manual focus tuning is only as accurate as the setup and the person doing it. Usually the results from computer calibrating are very different than manual focus tuning.
Many factors greatly effect the accuracy of trying to manually tune your lenses.
The distance to the target is vital and NEEDS to be measured.
Target has to be perfectly perpendicular to the sensor.
The lighting has to be specific and constant. You can't calibrate under fluorescent lights either.
The lens must be focusing just before infinity meaning you would have to be almost 50 feet from the target for a long telephoto unless you have a Focus Tube.
And a number of other factors that all greatly reduce the accuracy.
Computer controlled calibrations take the guesswork out of everything and provide real-world results that deliver tack sharp images and accurate depth of field.
Commercially Licensed Focus Calibration Center
We are commercially licensed with Reikan Technology Ltd as an Advanced Service Provider and Test Center. We were looking for an accurate and advanced software to automate checking focus adjustments done with Nikon and Canon service software, as well as verifying sensor deviation measurements on repairs. Reikan software was perfect for ease of use, advanced testing and graphical displays.
